The website seebreadalbane.org is a great source of ideas of what to see and do in the area. It also shows events in and around the area that happen throughout the year and may be of interest to you.
We are in the Highlands, have 30 Munros in the close vicinity, an abundance of rivers, lochs, horizontal and vertical waterfalls, BIG trees. There's so much to see and enjoy.
Walking - there are many great walks - far too many to mention here individually. Bob and the rest of our team are particularly good at giving help on where to go depending on your desire and ability levels.
Cycling - Bike hire is available from the Killin Outdoor shop. For those with their own bikes we have lockable storage for your bicycle.
Hill Walking - We can offer information on local flat and hilly walks and have plenty of maps for you to peruse whether new or an expert to the hills and glens. In addition the local Killin Outdoor shop has details for walkers and supplies.
Fishing - we have fishing rights across from the hotel in the River Lochay for residents. Other fishing permits are available in the village from the Newsagent. For guided fishing trips we are happy to recommend local experts. Boat Hire available.
Golfing - the delightfully challenging 9 hole Killin Golf Course is minutes walk from the hotel.
Nature - we have otters in the river, beavers, pine martens, badgers, bats, red squirrels, red and roe deer to name but a few. Keep your eyes open when out and about - you never know what you might see.
Flora and Fauna - Ben Lawers is a particularly special spot for mountain plants and rare butterflies. Visit the National Trust website - www.nts.org.uk for details.
